Communication has gone through numerous changes over the centuries. Many forms have come and gone.
The next communication revolution has arrived on the back of a little blue bird - Twitter! ...A social networking service where you tweet in messages of 140 characters or less.
Take our friend Jeff. He just signed up for a Twitter account. First, he follows some of his favourite celebrities.
Next, he finds some friends to follow.
Now, he's ready to tweet.
There are three types.
The first is a basic tweet.
Send messages to your followers and receive messages from the people you're following.
Jeff's social circle has grown and he has four new followers.
The second is a reply tweet.
Say Jeff wants to get dating advice from Justin. He can simply send him a reply tweet and it will go to Justin as well as all of Jeff's followers.
Third, is a direct message tweet.
Jeff needs help understanding the difference between epistemology and ontology. He can send a direct message to only Rob for a clear and concise dinstinction. Thanks Rob!
